About the team

Dr. Joel Batzofin is the founder and director at New York Fertility Center. He is an internationally recognized expert in the field of Assisted Reproductive Technology who has helped pioneer many important developments in the field. A native South African, he graduated from the University of Witwatersrand Medical School. After an internship in South Africa, Dr. Batzofin immigrated to the United States where he completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Harvard Medical School in 1983. Followed by a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, where he graduated in 1985.

In August 2007, Dr. Batzofin opened Batzofin Fertility Services in midtown Manhattan. Then in March 2011, he changed the name from Batzofin Fertility Services to New York Fertility Services to recognize the growth and expansion of the program.
