SurrogateFirst

This was my 2nd surrogacy. My Ip and I went to SurrogateFirst to complete a sibling journey. We were going to go independent but thought it would be safer and less headache to complete another journey with an agency’s support. My IP knew of SurrogateFirst through friends. They were new, but after speaking with the director having them answer all my questions, my IP and I decided to move forward. SurrogateFirst was great the entire time. I loved how they got to know my family and treated us in a professional but family-oriented way. Growing up in Hawaii I loved doing life in community and felt that from SurrogateFirst. I appreciated SurrogateFirst being available 24/7. That was something that lacked from my last agency. Payments were always on time and reimbursements were taken care of quickly. Escrow was held with a 3rd party coordinator. I am in my third journey with them and they now offer Seed trust escrow and their direct deposit program. I appreciated their Health and Wellness program they offer. At first, I wasn’t sure I would like it. I am someone who gains a lot during pregnancy and wanted a change. Having the health and wellness team to help with their customized exercises and nutrition program tailored to me helped a lot. I enjoyed the weekly emails that shared pregnancy-specific information and how to have a healthy pregnancy. Where I think SurrogateFirst solidified my loyalty and respect was in the 4th trimester (post-partum). My first journey ended with a healthy birth but it was an awkward time for me. Surrogacy had been such a big portion of my life for a long period, I loved my time pregnant and with my IP, but then it ended abruptly. My IP was rightfully so, caring for her new blessing and I started my life back up without being a “surrogate”. The 2nd journey was different than the first. While I was an experienced surrogate and knew what to expect, I appreciated an agency that cared about my mind, body, and soul. Many emotions and hormones were running through my body and the Health and Wellness program helped me get back to me during post-partum. Being able to have support and people available to help me navigate that time was amazing. It felt good to have them on my team helping me get back to 100%. I am now in the 3rd trimester of my 3rd journey and excited to be helping another family.

My Journey with surrogate first has been a experience i won’t forget. This agency has become like family to me. They have help me in so many ways, specially Ashley. She guide me through every step and went with me to doctors appointments, making sure i had everything i need.
